where last year i was struggling to get back to a place where i liked my own art, i feel like 2025 was all about having fun again, exploring and experimenting with lines and flat colors and inking techniques, and really getting comfortable drawing my comic characters. :] i made lots of finished pieces, and behind the scenes, i also did a lot of writing and comic prep!!

i'm satisfied with my output this year n___n in 2026, i'm hoping to make more pieces with detailed backgrounds/environments... but mostly i'm just hoping to finish my comic page buffer and launch my comic!!! see you all next year!

last year ended in a very difficult spot for me and that carried over into the first couple months of 2024. life changes made it really hard to focus much on art and it honestly felt like i had to re-learn how to draw for the first few months. :’) this was a year for practice, studying, and developing my original webcomic, so there weren’t as many finished illustrations. but i got back into doing studies! keeping a sketchbook and drawing in one every day! i experimented with lineart, coloring styles, and stylization! there’s a lot of work i did that never got posted because it was about personal development.

overall, i’m happy with where i ended 2024, both in terms of skill and art habits. :]

next year, i’m aiming to do more ink/ b+w drawings, make more work with full backgrounds, and maybe even start drawing webcomic pages!! please look forward to it!!!!

all things considered it was a really rough year for me mentally and emotionally, esp the latter half, so it’s heartening to look back on my work and still see so much im still pretty proud of aheem heem… burn away was officially on the back burner - its strange not see any nuzlocke art here at all but i think the hiatus has been for the best! i have a lot of things in the works for 2024 please look forward to it !! ◠‿◠
